The DigiFlow manual contains details of the internal format of all native DigiFlow file formats. Over the years a number of users have written matlab interfaces to allow the data to be read in. Specifically, Jim McElwaine wrote a .dfm reader and Kristian Sveen wrote a .dfi reader suitable for uncompressed files. Subsequently, Alex Holyoake wrote a new .dfi reader that could read compressed files, with the latest iteration by Josh Caplan simplifying use by employing Matlab’s more recent embedding of the zlib compression library.
The latest versions of the .dfm and .dfi readers are available for download, with thanks to their authors, from http://www.dalzielresearch.com/digiflow/matlab/
If you make any improvements or enhancements to these, then please let us have a copy so that they can be made available to other DigiFlow users.
