Obtaining a Licence

The first time you run DigiFlow it will prompt you for information required to generate a Licence Key. This information, along with other details DigiFlow determines, will be written to a file LicenceRequest.dat that will be created in the directory in which you started DigiFlow. This file should be e-mailed to Dalziel Research Partners in order that a Licence Key may be generated.

The LicenceRequest.dat file does not contain any security-sensitive information, or any personal information other than what you enter. Please feel free to view the contents of this file before sending.

Once the licence has been generated, you will be sent a file DigiFlow_Licence.dfc. This should be copied to the directory in which DigiFlow is installed. Note that this licence file may contain Licence Keys for more than one machine; however, it is only possible to generate a Licence Key for a machine a LicenceRequest.dat has been submitted.

Three types of licence exist: Free Licences, Commercial Licences and Site Licences. The first provide a broad range of functionality, but have some of the more advanced features of DigiFlow disabled. The act of installing the Licence Key file is construed as agreement to the terms and conditions of the DigiFlow Licence. A copy of this Licence may be found at the end of the DigiFlow documentation.
